Norton Simon Museum
European, American and South and Southeast Asian art on Colorado Boulevard at the western edge of the city.
Why visit
A compact, unusually strong collection in a building by Ladd & Kelsey later reworked by Frank Gehry, with a sculpture garden designed by Nancy Goslee Power.
The museum holds European painting and sculpture from the Renaissance forward, modern and contemporary work, and a significant South and Southeast Asian collection.
It stands at the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Orange Grove, along the Rose Parade route.
Know before you go
- The sculpture garden and pond are part of the visit, not an afterthought.
